PUEBLO, Colo.—A Powerball ticket sold in Denver matched the first five numbers Saturday to win the game’s second prize of $200,000.
The Colorado Lottery says the ticket was sold at a Diamond Shamrock convenience store on East Iliff Ave.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 14, 26, 28, 31 and 40. The Powerball was 13 and the multiplier was 2.
The ticket was one of three sold across the country to hit the first five numbers, but miss the Powerball. The ticket holder has 180 days from Dec. 13 to claim the prize.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
