DES MOINES, Iowa—Two tickets came close, but no one matched all six numbers drawn to win the midweek Powerball jackpot worth $50.6 million.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 7, 11, 18, 24 and 30. The Powerball was 26 and the multiplier was 4.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the jackpot, which is expected to grow to an estimated $57 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Two Power Play tickets, sold in Colorado and Indiana, matched the first five numbers only for $800,000 each. Three other Colorado Power Play tickets matched the Powerball and four other numbers to win $40,000 apiece.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
