GREELEY, Colo.—A Keenesburg man is dead and two other people have been injured after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 76 in Weld County.
The Colorado State Patrol says 38-year-old Jeffrey J. Hickey was eastbound in a Chevrolet pickup when he lost control about 6 miles east of Keenesburg just after 1 a.m. Friday. The truck rolled onto its side in the left lane and was hit moments later by an eastbound Nissan Sentra.
The pickup then rolled onto its roof before being hit again by an eastbound Honda Civic. Hickey, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nissan driver, 45-year-old Ronnie M. Brunner of Brush, and the Honda driver, 24-year-old Beth Heyer of Lindon, were taken to a Greeley hospital with serious injuries.
