ASPEN — A 19-year-old Snowmass Ski Area employee injured in a snowmobiling accident while working on the mountain has died of his injuries.
Aspen Skiing Co. says Tim Riley died Wednesday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He had been in a coma since he struck a tree early Dec. 5.
Riley had worked as a snowmaker at night. Snowmakers often travel around the resort by snowmobile as they check snow guns along trails.
