Two people were killed when their single-engine plane crashed in Moffat County on Monday afternoon.
The Piper Malibu fell off radar about 1:30 p.m. 10 miles northwest of Yampa Valley Regional Airport, according to the Colorado Wing of the Civil Air Patrol.
The plane was near the Moffat and Routt county line in northwest Colorado about 4:30 p.m.
Heavy snow was falling at the time, authorities said.
The flight was en route from Hutchinson, Kan., to Hayden.
