The mighty Ski Train chugs into its 69th season beginning Saturday. Day trips to Winter Park will be available every Saturday and Sunday through March 29, with Friday trips launching Feb. 6 and Thursday trips beginning Feb. 19.
“Our opening holiday weekend is always a great way for Colorado visitors to experience the Rocky Mountains in a safe, relaxing atmosphere and without having to drive,” said Ski Train president Jim Bain.
The train departs from Union Station at 7:15 a.m. and drops passengers off at the ski lifts at the base of Winter Park. It leaves the resort at 4:15 p.m.
Fares for the 2008-09 season are $59 for coach tickets and $85 for club-car tickets (includes continental breakfast buffet and afternoon snacks). The fares are less for children, seniors and groups. For reservations, log on to or call 303-296-4754.
