DENVER—The Federal Election Commission has dismissed a complaint Jared Polis made against an opponent during his congressional campaign.

Polis, who won the November election in the 2nd District, had asked the FEC to review campaign filings for Will Shafroth, an opponent for the Democrats’ nomination for the seat.

Polis’ campaign said Shafroth’s campaign listed a large number of donors as “community volunteers” when at least three had listed different occupations in other candidates’ filings.

Shafroth’s campaign disputed the claims and said any mistakes were unintentional.

The FEC dismissed the complaint in September and publicized it Tuesday.
