ASPEN, Colo.—A dance-floor assault in Aspen has left one man nearly blinded.

Police say a fight started at Belly Up nightclub last weekend between two men. Authorities say 24-year-old Matthew Horn threw a glass at another man over a dispute about a woman.

The glass shattered and cut the victim’s eye, nearly costing him the eye. Police say doctors were able to save the unnamed victim’s eyesight, but that he faces a lengthy recovery.

Horn left the club after the assault but was arrested after police reviewed security camera footage of the fight. Horn was arrested at Eric’s bar on Monday after a doorman told police he was inside. He faces several assault charges; two other people suffered minor cuts from the glass shrapnel.
