OMAHA, Neb.—University of Nebraska quarterback Joe Ganz says he’s more concerned about winning his last game than cementing his legacy.
Ganz will lead the Cornhuskers in their first Gator Bowl on New Year’s Day. Nebraska (8-4) plays Clemson (7-5).
The team arrived in Florida on Friday, minus coach Bo Pelini and defensive coordinator Carl Pelini. The two coaches will join them after attending their father’s funeral in Ohio. Anthony Pelini died Tuesday at the age of 85.
Ganz says getting to play in a bowl game is great, but winning is even better.
The native of Palos Heights, Ill., is ranked 14th in the nation as a passer. He set school records for single-season passing yards and total offense.
