GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—Two oil and gas workers are just fine after a monster Christmas snowstorm left them stranded in a vehicle overnight as they tried to get home for the holiday.

Police say Robert Harvey and Jim Landrum left their gas rig near Glenwood Springs on Christmas evening. By 9:30 Christmas night, Garfield County sheriff’s office was called by nervous relatives because Harvey and Landrum had not returned.

Deputies searched for Harvey and Landrum until after midnight, but heavy snow hampered the search. The search resumed after dawn, and by 1 p.m., Harvey and Landrum were found safe in their car, where they had spent the night. Authorities say the trapped workers were uninjured.
