BOULDER, Colo.—A teenager issued a speeding ticket in Boulder is accused of setting fire to the officer’s car in retaliation. Boulder police say they’ve arrested a 17-year-old boy and his friend in the arson of the police officer’s personal truck.
Police say the arson motive is a traffic ticket the officer issued to one of the suspects last month.
Officer Kevin Granberg’s 2006 Ford F150 truck was burned late Friday while parked outside his home. Granburg saw one of the suspects and ran after him. Other officers joined the foot chase, and the two boys were asrrested.
The teens have not been named but face several charges, including arson and obstruction.
