LAMAR, Colo.—A teen driver and a couple from Las Animas County were killed when the teen lost control of his car in southeast Colorado on Saturday.
Police say 18-year-old Miguel Reyes of Lamar in Prowers County was driving a 2005 Cadillac Escalade east on U.S. 50 about 18 miles east of Pueblo when he lost control on a curve Saturday afternoon.
Reyes crossed the center line and slammed into an oncoming 1998 GMC truck. Both people in the truck—Darla and Lon Jackson of Kim—were killed, as was Reyes. The cause of the crash remained under investigation Sunday.
