One person was killed and a second person injured in shootings near West Ninth Avenue and Kalamath Street early this morning, authorities say.
The name, sex and age of the person who was killed in the 2:15 a.m. shootings has not been released.
The second victim is being treated at a local hospital, said Sharon Avendaño, spokeswoman for the Denver Police Department. The condition of that person is not known.
“No one has been arrested at this time,” Avendaño said.
Few details currently are available about the shootings, she said. It is not known what provoked the violence.
The investigation is continuing, she said.
