MISSOULA, Mont.—Northern Colorado’s Courtney Stoermer has been named the Big Sky women’s basketball player of the week.

Stoermer led the Bears to a 92-31 win over Johnson & Wales on Sunday, while posting a career-high 24 points in just 23 minutes of play. She scored 20 points in the first half.

The sophomore guard went 9-of-10 from the field, which is a UNC record at the Division I level.

Stoermer, from Coralville, Iowa, was also impressive from 3-point territory, going 5-of-6. She added three assists, two steals, two blocks, two rebounds and had no turnovers.
