Trista Sutter had a good yearand she’s looking for an even better one.

She’s the dame who met Vail firefighter Ryan on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” in 2002 and married him on TV a year later. Now they have a son, Max, and another child on the way. They’re moving to a new house in Avon, and they’re just back from a trip to the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in California.

So what did they plan to do on New Year’s Eve? Nothing.

She’s six months pregnant — so dancing the night away and champagne toasts seemed out of the question this year.

“I never liked New Year’s Eve really,” she told me. “I find no reason to go out and drive around with people who may have been drinking. I’d rather just have some friends over, keep it low-key.”

Mad for Madisen.

Madisen Beaty plays the young Daisy in the hit flick “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” The Colorado native is now hunkered down in L.A., but the family was back in town for the holidays and for once not feeling bad that they’re having trouble selling their house in Centennial.

She’s now 13 — a special age with this movie, which runs almost three hours. They took friends and family to see the flick at the Chinese Theaters here. An interesting note — in many theaters, they have three prices for “Button”: Adults, children under 13 and children who turn 13 during the movie. That’s how long this movie is.

Anyway, you have to be happy when your first feature stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, who plays the older Daisy.

“It was amazing,” Madisen says.

And does she believe in love at first sight, the true love this movie celebrates?

“I do,” she says. “I think it’s possible. But it hasn’t happened to me yet.”

Moving in, moving out.

Lance Armstrong is moving his growing family to Aspen. Seems he and girlfriend Anna Hansen are expecting a baby in June and plan to live in a just-completed house Armstrong purchased last year — for $9 million. The five-bedroom, five-bath manse should be able to handle his brood, which includes three children from his previous marriage. Armstrong has not been spotted in town for the holidays, however.

Former Playmate and Hugh Hefner steady Barbi Benton and her husband, George Gradow, are trying to sell their Aspen home — for $25 million. The podlike structure sits on 40 acres on Red Mountain. I’ve been to parties at the pad, and it’s one serious crib, an iconic Aspen structure. But $25 million?

City spirit.
