A sketch of a man who tried to abduct a 12-year-old boy in Northglenn has been released by police.
The attempted abduction happened Saturday while the boy was in-line skating near Leroy Drive Elementary School, police said.
The man, who remains at large, was driving a light-blue van with out-of-state plates when he pulled over, grabbed the boy by the arm and tried to pull him into the vehicle, police said.
The boy told investigators he punched the man in the face and ran away.
Police describe the suspect as a white man in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-9 with a medium build. He has short brown hair, crooked teeth and was wearing a dark brown shirt.
The suspect vehicle is an older model, light blue utility van with reddish tinted windows and scratches on the passenger side. The license plate has a white background with blue letters, possibly a California tag. The plate has a black trim holder around it.
Anyone with information on the van, the suspect or the incident is asked to call police at 303-450-8856 or 303-450-8893.
