Baca County investigators are releasing little information about the death of 25-year-old Jeff Caylor of Springfield whose father was found shot to death Dec. 26.
The younger Caylor was found dead near his father’s home Wednesday morning, the day of his father’s funeral. Neither the Baca County coroner’s office nor the sheriff’s office is saying how Jeff Caylor died.
Norman Caylor had been shot multiple times when he was found in his southeast Colorado home.
“We have not determined if there is a connection between these two cases, but want to emphasize that we do not have any reason to believe our community is in any danger at this time,” Sheriff Steve Salzbrenner said in a statement.
