PUEBLO, Colo.—A memorial service was planned Friday for the last man pulled from the rubble left by a downtown Pueblo explosion. The man who was pulled alive from the November blast but died of cancer after being treated for his injuries.

Services for 74-year-old Eugene “Gene” Roney were planned for Friday afternoon at North Side Christian Church.

Roney was at the Branch Inn bar on Nov. 13 when an explosion rocked the inn and a dress shop next door. Twenty-two-year-old Ashley R. Johnson was killed and seven people including Roney were injured in the blast

Roney was trapped for four hours and was treated at a hospital until Dec. 22. Roney died of cancer five days later at a hospice.
