DENVER—The Pitkin County sheriff’s office says the 67-year-old man who died last week while cross-country skiing south of Aspen was Denver architect Peter Dominick.

Dominick was president and chairman of 4240 Architecture Inc. and senior principal of the Denver Studio, according to 4240’s Web site.

The sheriff’s office says Dominick died of a heart attack Thursday while cross-country skiing. Bystanders and ski patrol members performed CPR but were unable to revive him.
