Light snow returned to Denver on Saturday, but there was little accumulation except in the south metro area, where up to 2 inches fell in some areas.
The mountains — especially the Western Slope — were expected to see 3 to 5 inches of snow through Saturday, with another 2 to 3 inches expected in the high country today, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow could continue falling in the mountain areas into Monday, with another 3 to 5 inches possible, the Weather Service said.
Bitter-cold temperatures will follow the light snow overnight in Denver. Lows will be in the single digits around the metro area, but wind-chill factors will be below zero. The Denver Post and 9News
