A single-car rollover about 9:40 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 76 in Weld County injured three people, including the 16-year-old driver and a 2-year-old boy. The boy, buckled into a child seat, suffered only minor injuries but was taken to a local hospital for observation, said Sgt. John Hahn, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
The driver, a 16-year-old girl who does not have a license, was not using a seat belt and was ejected, Hahn said. She was taken to the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley with serious injuries, Hahn said. A 19-year-old passenger, the child’s mother, was flown to Denver Health Medical Center. She was wearing a seat belt.
