KREMMLING, Colo.—One person is dead after a crash on a snowy highway near Kremmling.

A 19-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord northbound on Colorado 9 lost control and spun into the southbound lanes. Her car was hit broadside by a southbound 1992 Ford Explorer.

The Colorado State Patrol said she died at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Explorer, both of them from Houston, were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The State Patrol said the road was snowpacked at the time and investigators believe the Honda driver was driving too fast for conditions. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
