An argument that started in a downtown Denver parking lot ended with gunfire that left three wounded on Interstate 25 early Sunday.

Two groups of young men had been arguing in a parking lot near 14th and and Larimer Streets just before 2 a.m., police said, and that turned into a chase.

A passenger in a dark sport utility vehicle fired numerous shots into the other vehicle on I-25 near West 38th Avenue. Those hurt drove themselves to the hospital.

Two of the wounded were treated for gunshot wounds and released, but a third remained in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center. The Denver Post
