A 19-year-old woman from Denver was killed on U.S. Highway 9 in Grand County when she spun out on a snowpacked road and into the path of another vehicle.

Her name has not been released by the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m. today about nine miles south of Kremmling. The woman’s Honda Accord was going north when the driver lost control and slid into a Ford Explorer carrying a couple from Houston.

They were rushed to Kremmling Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, then taken by ambulance to St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver.

Their names also were not released by troopers.

Troopers said the 19-year-old was driving too fast for the slick conditions.
