A 27-year-old man who authorities say was driving a stolen vehicle is in serious condition after he rolled the vehicle nearly five times early this morning.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Adam Trowbridge of Greeley.
According to investigators, sheriff’s deputy Randy Carter was on Weld County Road 54 when he clocked a vehicle driving 99 mph.
Carter pursued the vehicle and activated his lights and sirens when Trowbridge passed two vehicles at 85 mph.
Trowbridge eventually lost control of the Honda — stolen from a Greeley address prior to the accident — and drove off County Road 54, rolling the Honda 4½ times. The vehicle landed on its top.
Trowbridge was airlifted to the North Colorado Medical Center with serious injuries.
Weld County Sheriff John Cooke said possible charges include speeding, eluding, driving under suspension and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Trowbridge was the only occupant in the stolen car, said Cooke.
