Former Colorado State offensive coordinator Dan Hammerschmidt, who spent the past season coaching Rice wide receivers on a 10-3 team, is joining Wyoming’s new staff as receivers coach.
“It feels great to be back in the Mountain West and to be at the University of Wyoming,” Hammerschmidt said in a statement. “I have many years of experience competing against Wyoming as a player and a coach, and I know the great tradition.”
Also, Montana offensive line coach Pete Kaligis was named to the same position at Wyoming by new head coach Dave Christensen.
