A high wind warning remains in effect for the Denver metro area west of Sheridan Boulevard and all of the Front Range mountains/foothills until midnight tonight. Wind gusts in the metro portion of the warning could exceed 60 mph with the mountains and foothills areas expecting 80-plus mph gusts.

A winter storm warning stays place until 6 p.m. this evening for the northern mountains in Colorado, including the Elkhead, Park, Gore and Flattop mountain ranges as well as the Steamboat Springs area. The warning area can expect 12 to 24 inches of snow.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. today for areas around Aspen, Vail and Snowmass as well as the Front Range mountains. Those areas can expect 4 to 9 inches of snow.

In the Front Range mountains, the snow is expect along and west of the Peak-To-Peak Highway and west of Georgetown.
