Is your fridge functioning at its best? Clean the refrigerator’s coils so it works more efficiently.
Simple stovetop maintenance. Clean the reflector bowls on electric models and use a toothpick to clean out burners on gas models. Run burners to remove remaining residue.
Deodorize appliances. Run an empty dishwasher with a cup of white vinegar to eliminate odors. Place a paper towel in a small bowl, pour a little pure vanilla extract on top and place in the fridge.

Proper placement. If shooting in front of a wall, move the subjects about 2 feet from it to avoid shadows on the wall behind them.
Careful zooming. When composing a shot, don’t zoom in too closely. Leave room around the subject so you can crop the image to different sizes if you choose.
Getting children to cooperate. Allow children to take a few pictures first, showing them how the images look in display mode. Also, let them set up a few poses for the family.
