RICHMOND, Va. — Circuit City Stores Inc., the bankrupt consumer-electronics retailer, postponed for 24 hours an auction designed to save the company from liquidation and extended the deadline for potential investors to submit bids.
The auction will start today, immediately after liquidators finish bidding for the right to conduct store-closing sales, according to papers filed Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Richmond, Va.
