Classes at Denver schools will start three hours later today as part of five late-start days scattered throughout the calendar for teacher training. The late-start days are part of a contract agreement between the teachers union and the district reached in September. This is the second of five scheduled late starts.
School will start three hours later than normal, morning Kaleidoscope Corner will be canceled and tuition will be credited, and afternoon Kaleidoscope Corner will operate as scheduled.
Morning preschool and kindergarten classes will be canceled.
Students who ride a yellow school bus will be picked up at their usual bus stops approximately three hours later than regularly scheduled.
Breakfast is canceled, but lunch is served on late-start days.
Contact the schools for information about before-school options for students during late-start days. For charter schools, contact the schools for information on the schedule.
