FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and killed in Fort Collins has been identified as 56-year-old Lawrence Aisenbrey.

The accident happened at about 7 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Mulberry and Sherwood streets.

Aisenbrey was walking south across Mulberry when he was hit by a sport utility vehicle being driven by 23-year-old James Epperson of Fort Collins.

Authorities say Aisenbrey, also of Fort Collins, wasn’t in a crosswalk and died at the scene.

Police do not believe alcohol or speed contributed to the accident, and no charges are expected to be filed.

The Larimer County coroner ruled that Aisenbrey’s death was accidental.
