MONTROSE — A second suspect in the November knife attack at Montrose High School has been charged.
The 14-year-old boy, who is charged as a juvenile, appeared in court Wednesday on a count of accessory to attempted murder. Police allege he was a conspirator in the Nov. 11 attack on 17-year-old Mallory Haulman, whose throat was slashed. His name hasn’t been released.
Another 14-year-old boy, Michael Yates, has been charged as an adult in the case. He faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. Court documents say Yates told investigators that he had been up all night before the attack and that voices were instructing him on what to do.
