Asprilla’s dunk with 1:07 remaining tied the score at 57-57. On the ensuing possession, Nick Taylor stole the ball from DU’s Michael Stafford. After FIU called timeout, Michael Dominguez was fouled with nine seconds remaining. He nailed both free throws, and DU’s Sabatino Chen missed a jumper as time expired. Nate Rohnert led DU (7-11, 2-5) with 17 points.

LAS VEGAS — Wink Adams led four Rebels (14-4, 2-2 Mountain West) in double figures with 20 points. Sean Ogirri had 21 points for the Cowboys (12-5, 1-2).

Metro State 87, N.M. Highlands 57

The Roadrunners (12-3, 6-1 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) held the Cowboys (11-4, 5-2) to four points in the first 10 minutes of the second half and cruised to the home win. Marquise Carrington led Metro with 19 points.

LAKEWOOD — The Cougars (9-6, 4-3 RMAC) shot 60 percent on 3-pointers in the first half and built a 14-point lead, then withstood a determined Skyhawks (14-4, 5-2) rally in the second half.
