BEAVER CREEK, Colo.—The Eagle County coroner says a 65-year-old woman who died after an accident at the Beaver Creek ski resort suffered major chest injuries after a fall.

Coroner Kara Bettis says June Kang was pronounced dead when she arrived at a local hospital shortly after the accident. Bettis says Kang was on an intermediate run at the resort Friday morning when she fell and hit some sort of hydrant.

Resort officials say ski patrol provided advanced life support and took Kang to an ambulance.

Kang was from Arrowhead, about 60 miles north of Denver.
