AURORA — A woman was shot and killed Monday afternoon, the victim of gunfire that broke out following a dispute at a parking lot along East Colfax Avenue.
The shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. in the 9700 block of East Colfax. Apparently two groups of people were arguing and a man pulled out a gun, Aurora police spokesman Bob Friel said. Several shots were fired.
The woman, whose name was not released, was believed to be in her late 30s. She was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
