The Air Force Academy and football coach Troy Calhoun have agreed terms of a new five-year contract that will pay him $725,000 a year in base salary.
Calhoun is heading into his third year after following long-time coach Fisher DeBerry. In his two seasons, Calhoun’s record is 17-9, with two appearances in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth. The Falcons lost to California 42-36 two years ago and 34-28 to Houston on New Year’s Eve.
With incentives, Calhoun’s could reach $835,000 per year.
Instead of annual percentage increases as was the case in his first contract, Calhoun’s base salary will remain at $725,000 each of the five years.
