An intense, wind-whipped house fire earlier this week in Lakewood started at an electrical box at the rear of the home.
“The fire started on the back of the home near the circuit-break panel and meter-housing unit,” according to the West Metro Fire Protection District.
The fire, in the 14000 block of West Evans Circle, broke out at about 2:30 a.m. and quickly spread to surrounding homes, West Metro said.
The home where the fire started is a complete loss. Surrounding homes suffered “severe” or “moderate” damage, according to the fire department. No one was injured in the blaze.
