LINCOLN, Neb.—An Interstate 80 traffic stop has led to the arrest of three people on drug charges and the seizure of 152 pounds of marijuana.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped a car for following too closely on I-80 on Lincoln’s northern edge Wednesday morning. The trooper noticed an odor and after a search, found six bales of marijuana in the car’s trunk.

The 24-year-old driver, who is in the country illegally, was arrested. He said he was taking the drugs from Denver to Omaha.

Troopers arranged for delivery of the drugs and subsequently arrested a 29-year-old man and 24-year-old woman in Omaha. Both are from Dinuba, Calif.
