Andreas Hatveit is poised to be the first to defend ski slopestyle gold since Tanner Hall’s epic three-gold run ended in 2004. Hitting smooth and spinning airs over the slopestyle course’s unforgiving gaps and transfers, the 26-year-old Norwegian was one of the most aggressive of the 16 skiers testing the course for the Sunday afternoon finals. But watch out for New Zealand teen phenom Jossi Wells, last year’s silver medalist. And Oregon’s Sammy Carlson was the only skier boosting 540s over the course’s scary gap jump.
