BOULDER — Former Colorado starting quarterback Bernard Jackson and another former player player have been sentenced to at least a year in prison after pleading guilty to an apartment robbery.

Jackson, the starter in 2006, and Lionel Harris, a safety, pleaded guilty Wednesday to burglary and menacing as part of an agreement with prosecutors, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.

They were sentenced to 5-1/2 years in prison but could be released after a year for good behavior and particpating in rehabilitation programs.

They were arrested June 21 and charged with 15 counts stemming from a June 5 armed robbery at an apartment, including first-degree felony burglary, aggravated robbery and criminal use of weapon.

They were accused of stealing $500. Authorities say the pair were wearing masks and had a handgun.

They had been in Boulder County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Jackson, 23, was academically ineligible for his senior season in 2007. Harris, 24, last played in the 2007 season.
