DENVER—A 42-year-old man convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in 1996 has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Wayne Glasser was sentenced Thursday by Denver District Judge John Madden.
A jury in November found Glasser guilty of first-degree sexual assault with force, aggravated first-degree sexual assault with threats and second-degree kidnapping.
Prosecutors say Glasser pulled a 25-year-old woman into his van as she walked home from work in Denver, then drove to an alley and raped her at gunpoint.
Cold-case detectives linked Glasser to the crime through DNA evidence. He was serving 17 1/2 years in prison at the time on unrelated charges.
