U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet will hold an open house today for Coloradans.

Bennet, who served as superintendent for Denver Public Schools, was sworn in Thursday in Washington after being appointed by Gov. Bill Ritter to fill the senate seat vacated by former Sen. Ken Salazar, who is now interior secretary.

The open house will be from 1-4 p.m. at The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd.

Admission to the open house is free but those wanting to attend are asked to RSVP at bennetreception@gmail.com.
