LOVELAND, Colo.—Freshman congresswoman Betsy Markey will talk with voters Saturday for the first time since taking office.
Markey will talk to constituents at a Loveland coffee shop about a federal economic stimulus plan aimed at getting people back to work. That plan is pending in the House.
Markey will also explain her vote to block the release of some $350 billion in bailout funds. Markey says she opposed the bailout when she was a candidate and still opposes the plan.
