COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Buffaloes erased an early 11-point deficit Saturday and held off a late Tigers rally in earning their first Big 12 Conference victory.
Colorado (9-8, 1-4) was led by Bianca Smith’s 25 points.
Missouri (10-8, 1-4), which led by 10 points six minutes in, went on a 6-0 run at the end of the game before falling short.
Wyoming 64, Colorado St. 61
FORT COLLINS — The Cowgirls gave up a 21-point lead but held on after CSU’s Zoi Simmons missed a game-tying layup attempt with less than two seconds remaining. Britney Minor scored a game-high 21 points for CSU (7-12, 2-4 Mountain West), and Juanise Cornell added 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Wyoming (9-9, 1-4) hit just 5-of-10 free throws in the final 41 seconds. The Cowgirls got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Hillary Carlson.
Denver 66, W. Kentucky 50
The Pioneers earned their first victory over the Hilltoppers since starting the program in 1974. Kaetlyn Murdoch led DU with 15 points and 10 rebounds at Magness Arena.
Denver (10-9, 5-3 Sun Belt) had a 46-27 rebounding advantage over WKU (11-8, 5-4).
The Pioneers went on an 8-0 run to begin the second half, turning a seven-point halftime lead into a 43-28 advantage.
Montana 80, N. Colorado 65
GREELEY — Big Sky Conference- leading Montana held UNC to 18.8 percent shooting from the field in the first half at Butler-Hancock Gymnasium. The Grizzlies (17-3, 6-0) built a 15-point lead in the first half and never trailed. Kate Kevorken scored 23 points to lead UNC (9-10, 3-3).
