British sitskier Andy Campbell endured a nasty wreck during practice on the monocross course Saturday, flipping head-over-ski after the gap jump. The adventurous athlete from Edinburgh — he rides deep powder, scuba dives, paraglides, kayaks and is sponsored by Reno-based PM Gear — recovered from his wreck and rode his fiberglass orange sitski (which reads “Die Living” on the back) to the bottom. As he transferred from the monoski to his wheelchair, he noticed he had broken his left femur, and medics hurried him to the hospital.
