Freshman Sen. Michael Bennet continued his getting-to-know-you campaign, returning to his home turf of Denver Sunday for an open house to meet with party stalwarts and regular citizens alike.
He said he plans to continue crisscrossing the state in the next two years, gathering insight and letting the public learn more about him.
“My strategy is to make everyone so tired of seeing me that they would send me back to Washington,” Bennet quipped to the crowd gathered at the Museum of Nature and Science.
In his brief comments, Bennet touched on education and healthcare reform, intelligent stimulus spending including a more accountable financial bailout and ending the war in Iraq.
