AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with last week’s fatal shooting in a pawn shop parking lot.

Court records say Maurice Conte Martin of Aurora is accused of shooting Shunda Jackson on Jan. 19.

Police say Jackson was trying to break up a fight between two groups of people when she was shot twice in a parking lot at Colfax and Emporia Street. She died of her injuries at a hospital.

Martin was arrested the following day on suspicion of first-degree murder, attempted murder and felony menacing.

He is being held without bond at the Adams County jail.
