GREELEY—Colorado’s newest senator continues his get-to-know-you tour this weekend in Greeley.

Democrat Michael Bennet will chat with voters for an hour and a half Saturday morning at an open house at the Greeley Senior Activity Center.

Last weekend the senator held a similar event in Denver.

Bennet is a former superintendent of Denver Public Schools who many Coloradans had never heard of until he was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Ken Salazar, who left to become Interior Secretary for President Obama.

Bennet has joked that he plans to return to Colorado to meet with voters until they’re sick of him. Bennet must run for re-election in 2010.
