BOULDER — Brittany Spears’ baseline layup with five seconds remaining finished off the Cornhuskers (10-10, 1-6 Big 12) on Saturday and completed a Colorado comeback from 12 points down.

CU opened the second half with a 7-2 run, setting up a back-and-forth finish that featured six lead changes and two ties in the final 10 minutes.

Spears led the Buffs with 25 points and nine rebounds, and Bianca Smith had 21 points, tying her own school record with seven 3-pointers.

San Diego St. 62, CSU 61

SAN DIEGO — Jen Layton-Bailes rebounded Quenese Davis’ missed shot and laid it in with three seconds remaining to give the Aztecs (14-5, 5-2 Mountain West) a come-from-behind win.

The Rams (7-14, 2-6) had a 61-58 lead after Meghan Heimstra’s jumper with 47 seconds left. Davis cut SDSU’s deficit to one with a layup with 41 seconds left. On CSU’s next possession, Bonnie Barbee had her shot blocked by Paris Johnson, who grabbed the ball to set up the clinching play.

BYU 58, Wyoming 45

LARAMIE — Keilani Moeaki scored 13 points as the Cougars (14-5, 4-3 MWC) took advantage of cold-shooting Wyoming (10-10, 2-5) to take control in the second half.

UNLV 78, Air Force 64

LAS VEGAS — The Falcons (4-16, 0-7 MWC) led by as many as nine points in the first half, but the Rebels (9-11, 2-5) used big advantages on the boards (45-29) and at the free-throw line (20-9) to catch up and then pull away.

Northern Colorado 59, Northern Arizona 53

GREELEY — Courtney Stoer- mer scored 21 points and Kate Kevorken had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bears (10-11, 4-4 Big Sky), who built a nine-point second-half lead and then clamped down on defense to quell the Lumberjacks’ (6-15, 3-5) hopes.

Colorado Mines 62, Metro State 56

GOLDEN — Brecca Gaffney had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Orediggers (12-7, 9-2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference), who held Metro (8-11, 6-5) to under 40 percent shooting (19-of-48).

Sharaya Selsor had 14 points for the Roadrunners.
