BOULDER, Colo.—Brittany Spears scored 25 points, including a baseline layup with five seconds remaining, to lift Colorado to a 75-73 win over Nebraska Saturday.

Spears tied the game from the free throw line 49 seconds remaining and scored the winning shot after a Nebraska turnover. Spears also had a team-high nine rebounds and Bianca Smith added 21 points as the Buffs (10-9, 2-5 Big 12) rallied from eight points down early in the second half.

Cory Montgomery led Nebraska (10-10, 1-6) with 24 points and nine rebounds while Dominique Kelley scored 16 points. Catheryn Redmond added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska led 42-34 at the half after scoring 19 points off of Colorado’s 18 turnovers. Colorado committed eight turnovers in the second half.
